A Day at the Bronx Zoo Goat in the Bronx
Part 2 - The Children's Zoo
Alexander crawls through a log The Children's Zoo had a lot of fun things to climb on and explore, including a hollow log to crawl through. Alex was able to see the world through the eyes of a prairie dog when his mother helped him peer through a fiberglass prairie dog burrow. Judging by the look on Alex's face, it's fun to be a prairie dog! Bronx Zoo prairie dog exhibit
Alex also had the opportunity to try on the shell of a tortoise, and the ears of a fox! Alexander listens as a fox would

Goats at the Bronx Zoo A Bronx Zoo Goat
What children's zoo would be complete without goats! Goats! The noble beasts who carried Hannibal across the Alps! Goats! These extraordinary mammals have hair on their bodies and give birth to live young! Goats! Leading scholars have speculated that William Shakespere may have actually been a goat! (It's true! If it's on the Internet, it must be true!) Another goat in the Bronx
Alexander is a typical young boy in that, when he gets tired, he gets cranky. And at the end of a long, fun, day at the Zoo, Alex was a little tired and cranky. Note the expression on his face, below left, when his mother offered him some juice. Clearly, Alexander did not want juice! On the way back to the parking lot, Alex snoozed peacefully in his stroller.

Alexander does NOT want juice! Time to go home!
